The man who founded the Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce
A barrister and solicitor since 1978, Rick Mitry is a well-knownfigure head inthe community as well asin the legal sphere. Specialising in Private International law, particularly in cases involving Diplomatic Immunity and Foreign States Immunity, he is known to fight hard and strong on high profile cases. He has intituted and won cases against several international and local Federal and State governments.
Having authored a number of legal publications from Business law in the Middle East to cyberbullying laws in Australia, Mr Mitry has a well-rounded legal expertise in matters related toboth local and international law.
Mr Mitry migrated to Australia with his parents at the age of two. He is a devoted Australian but is also very much connected with his homeland, which is one of the reasons he pursued and established the Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce, as well as other pursuits for the Sydney Lebanese Community for which he was honoured in Lebanon.
